SWEDISH MASSAGE – 60 MINUTES

Swedish massage uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve circulation, eases muscle pains and tension, improves flexibility and creates relaxation.

Swedish massage employs five different movements: such as long gliding strokes, kneading of individual muscles, friction, hacking or tapping vibration.

The therapist generally uses massage oil to facilitate long and smooth strokes over the body. Swedish massage is done with the person covered by a sheet, a technique called “draping”. One part of the body is uncovered and treated with the massage and will then be covered up before moving on to the next part of the body.

Swedish massage is the foundation for other types of Western massage, including sports, deep tissue and aromatherapy massages.
